With a professional background in both marketing and education, Mia is passionate about effective communication—in all its myriad forms. Mia started her career in advertising and serviced a multi-billion dollar, international franchise before joining the in-house marketing team at Shoes.com (previously Shoebuy) as a Senior Marketing Specialist. It was during this time that Mia discovered the true power of words as well as her deep interest in education, so she stepped away from the business world and back into the classroom, where she taught high school English for three years prior to the birth of her son in 2020.
Mia earned her BA from Connecticut College and her master’s degree from Brown University. She lives in East Greenwich, RI with her husband and (soon-to-be) two children.
