Analytics Developer, Sproutward, Columbus, OH

Data sits at the heart of everything we do at Sproutward.  Measuring customer behavior is foundational to fully understand what is working (and what is not) within our clients’ businesses.  We work with our clients to understand their business goals while measuring and optimizing the customer experience along the way.

About the Role

  • Be the in-house implementation developer/subject matter expert for analytics platform, data collection, and integrations
  • Work with the analytics team to understand, analyze tagging strategy, and implement business requirements into custom Adobe Analytics deployment
  • Implement 3rd party tagging requests including marketing tags/pixels (Facebook, Google Ads/Floodlight, etc.)
  • Ensure data consistency across clients
  • Maintain implementation documents such as Data Layer specifications, custom JavaScript, playbooks on how each platform is implemented.
  • Collaborate and guide on data layer implementation and troubleshooting, and data feeds and integrations with other systems
  • Troubleshooting, testing, and validating analytics implementations and through various testing tools to ensure high analytics data quality

What Skills You Need

  • Hands-on development experience in Java, HTML, and CSS as well as Tag Management Development.
  • 2+ years experience in Google Tag Manager or Tealium. Adobe Launch/DTM experience also helpful.
  • 2+ years of experience in analytics development or implementation, architecture, and data quality
  • 2+ years of experience directly involved in the entire web analytics implementations cycle (Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics 360)
  • Knowledge of tracking methods such as pushing data layer and custom JavaScript to Google Tag Manager as well as server-side data collection
  • Ability to communicate in a client-facing role

Nice to Have

  • Data Modeling and ability to write SQL
  • Experience with cloud database, especially the Google BigQuery stack
  • Knowledge of advanced data programming languages such as R, python

SEO Manager – Southborough, MA or Columbus, OH

The SEO Manager will lead Sproutward’s SEO practice on behalf of our clients. In this role you will identify opportunities, develop strategies, and support client teams with the execution of those strategies.  You will serve as the company subject matter expert on all things SEO, keeping abreast of latest trends. Your role will include one-time audits for some clients and driving ongoing SEO initiatives for other clients. As an SEO Manager, you will play a key role in:

  • Performing client audits, centered on the four pillars of SEO: crawlability, link equity, content, and usability
  • Developing a holistic SEO strategy, including content, site architecture, link-building, and keyword selection/utilization
  • Supporting clients’ ongoing SEO initiatives, from strategy to execution, including partnering with technology teams.
  • Communicating the importance and relevance of SEO to clients and adjusting the message to the audience, from the executive who is interested in the big picture to the technology person who is interested in the details.
  • Monitoring SEO trends and industry news and sharing those with the broader internal team
  • Performing competitive analysis for our clients
  • Developing SEO reporting and monitoring performance for our clients

Requirements for SEO Manager include:

  • 5+ years direct SEO experience
  • Proficient user of SEO tools and platforms (Moz, DeepCrawl, Conductor, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal etc)
  • Tech savvy and informed about the internet and search marketing trends
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of SEO, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, URL structures, keyword analysis, content optimization, search engine spiders, indices and algorithms.
  • Deep experience with Google Analytics, Adobe, or another analytics platform that measures SEO success
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for SEO

Marketing Specialist – Southborough, MA or Columbus, OH

As a Marketing Specialist, you will assist us in:

  • Understanding the value of our clients’ online presence
  • Determining how they can improve the return from their website
  • Developing recommendations (and executing) for service and changes that will assist in improving their online marketing initiatives
  • Examining marketing campaigns’ return on investment
  • Identifying new market opportunities
  • Developing testing strategy, executing those tests and making subsequent recommendations to marketing mix, creative execution and media buy
  • Creating analytical dashboards to help clients determine the effectiveness of their marketing channels
  • Analyzing competitors
  • Meeting with clients to ascertain marketing goals
  • Creating questionnaires and surveys
  • Conducting secondary research including information from industry associations, statisticians, and marketing experts

Requirements for Marketing Analyst include:

  • Creative problem solver who enjoys the process of finding answers
  • Experience with and passion for customer experience

  • Passion for social channels and experience developing content
  • Some experience with analytics (Google Analytics), rank monitoring, and database tools, including the leading SEO software tools.
  • Site audit experience preferred
  • Prefer coursework in statistics, economics, accounting, math, engineering, market research or other data-driven field.

Digital Analyst – Columbus, OH

About the Role

We are looking for a Digital Analyst to:

  • Conduct digital analytics audits
  • Implement/enhance analytics and marketing automation tools
  • Manage, deploy, and validate 3rdparty pixels and tags
  • Develop and execute a measurement strategy
  • Create reporting including dashboards and visualization
  • Run ad hoc analysis
  • Onboard customer data pipelines for Sproutward’s data aggregation tool, DataHub


  • Digital analytics audits
  • Comb through client sites to make sure data is being collected accurately. You’ll validate page and event tracking in Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
  • Check for missing tags and incorrect tags.

  • Knowledge of best practices for marketing-campaign, event, user, and page-level tracking
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics (Omniture), IBM Analytics (Coremetrics), or similar tools
  • Experience with Tag Management tools including Tealium IQ, Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe DTM, and Segment
  • Experience with building dashboards and integrating data in BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power Pivot, or Google Data Studio
  • Solid Excel / Google Sheets Experience
  • Ability to communicate in a client-facing role
